Creative Writing session for 9 & 10 graders by Samrat Upadhyay
May 21, 2018| Lalitpur
Our students of grade 9 & 10 had the opportunity to meet and have a creative writing session with renowned Nepalese writer Samrat Upadhyay. He along with Brianna Barnes and Dan ‘Sully’ Sullivan from Indiana University conducted the session. The session started with Mr. Upadhyay reading an essay depicting his writing journey starting from his childhood anecdotes, his time as a student in the US and how he developed his love for literature and writing. This was followed by the writing session where students were engaged in creative exercises to formulate ideas before writing and then a quick write up based on the pre-writing exercises that the students read aloud. The students raised several curious questions to the guest and got the answers. They also shared their understanding with their friends and the guest. The session was an inspiring one for our students to explore their creativity while writing.
