Curriculum Night for Academic Year 2016/17 Observed

On April 22, curriculum night for grade six and seven was observed. Likewise, on April 24, the curriculum night was held for grade two, three, four, five and eight. In the sessions, the subject teachers shared about the course contents that the students would study in the new academic year.

Policy Session for School Leaders

School Leaders of Ullens School were involved in a policy discussion session covering issues like organizational policy, financial policy and procurement policy. During the session, Shakar Subedi, Senior Manager (Finance and Asset Management) discussed different aspects of the financial policy of the school. Department Heads of different administrative unit were also present in the session.

Grade VI and VII Tour to Dhampus and Australian Camp

Ullens School believes in bringing reality to class rooms. Considering this the school organizes different educational trips and excursions for its students every year. This year the students of Grade VI and VII were taken to a hiking trip from Pokhara to Dhampus and Australian Camp.

Businessperson Binod Chaudhary visits Ullens School

Binod Chaudhary, writer and the Chairperson of Chaudhary Group visited Ullens School for a interaction session about his autobiography that was recently published. Several topics that ranged from Chaudhary's registration in the Forbes Billionaire lists to his political affiliation; were discussed in the form of a talk session hosted by Sushrut Acharya, TOK and Film Teacher at the Ullens IB Diploma Programme.

University Talk: NYU Abu Dhabi

Michelle Bolourchi from New York University (NYU) Abu Dhabi delivered an informative talk session on the benefits of taking liberal arts at college level and the admission process at NYUAD. Based in New Delhi, Michelle is the Regional Program Manager of NYUAD. The event was organized for the IBDP students of Ullens School.

Grade IV and V Trip to Pokhara

Students of Grade IV and V went for a 2 nights and 3 days educational excursion to Pokhara. Apart from their visit to some of the places of Pokhara, they were involved in a highly energetic hike frStudents of Grade IV and V went for a 2 nights and 3 days educational excursion to Pokhara. The students expressed their happiness and enjoyment as they could view the mountain range from the Sarangkot viewpoint. Watching people paragliding was a fantastic sight for many.om Naudada to Sarangkot. Annual Theater Festival for Grade IX

Students of Grade IX of Ullens School participated in the Annual Theater Festival 2016. The festival is spread over months whereby students learn to adapt to different characters, learn from theater artists and prepare for their final show. This year the students staged three short plays: The Climb, Melissa McHiney McNormous McWhale and Lorax. Surrounding around the themes of self-confidence, empathy and responsible citizenship, these plays portrayed important life skills that a human being needs to possess. The event was staged for the Ullens community on Feb 27, while the public show was help on Feb 29.

DLE Award for Academic Excellence

Aarusha Bista and Prerana Dhakal of Grade IX of Ullens School received a district level honor for achieving outstanding results in the District Level Examinations (DLE) of 2071. Presented by the District Education Office of Lalitpur annually, the award recognizes academic achievements of the top 10 performers in the district. Aarusha was able to secure 7th position in the DLE of 2071, while Prerana was able to secure 9th position. Congratulations Aarusha Bista and Prerana Dhakal. You have made us all proud.

Grade II and III celebrate 'Class Day'

Students of Grade II and III celebrated their 'Class Day' amidst a function at the auditorium of Ullens School. Students exhibited different songs, dances and athletic events like human pyramid and Wushu during the event. Similarly, art and craft works of the students were also up for exhibition during the event.

Ullens School supports Jayanti Memorial Trust

Ullens School feels privileged to share the pride of being associated with the Jayanti Memorial Trust in the 4th Annual Fundraiser Collaboration event. Established in the memory of Princess Jayanti Shah, the grand-daughter of Late King Tribhuwan Bir Bikra Shah Dev, the trust has been rendering its services to cardiac issues, awareness for cardiac health and to support financially deprived patients for their medication.
