About UEF

The Ullens Education Foundation (UEF) is a profit-not-distributing company registered at the Company Registrar Office under registration number 1/062/063 on 21/09/2062. Established in 2006 under the patronage of Baron Guy Ullens and Myriam Ullens, UEF was founded on the vision of making Nepal the “Land of Education in South Asia.”

Committed to excellence in education, UEF operates a comprehensive ecosystem of institutions and programs including Ullens School in Khumaltar (K–12 & IBDP), Ullens School Kathmandu (K–10), Ullens LEAP (a gap year program), Ullens College, and the Ullens Center for Educator Development (UCED), its teacher training wing.

UEF pioneered Nepal’s first International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and maintains a long-term partnership with Bank Street College of Education in New York. The foundation is governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees, which provides strategic oversight across all its entities and programs.

Looking ahead, UEF envisions becoming a center of excellence in education and positioning Nepal as a leading educational hub in South Asia. It is dedicated to advancing world-class learning while embracing education as a powerful instrument of social transformation. As Patron Guy Ullens aptly remarked, “Nepal can be the Land of Education” in South Asia. Guided by this belief, UEF remains committed to realizing Nepal’s potential as a regional hub for education.
