Ms. Tenzin Dulal

Ms. Tenzin Dulal has been a part of the IBDP team at Ullens School since 2020, when she first joined as an English Language and Literature teacher. Her background in education spans both Nepal and the United States, and with over 16+ years in the teaching field, she has developed experience in language teaching, academic writing, curriculum development, student mentorship, and educational leadership. She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Idaho, USA, and a Bachelor of Arts in International and Asian Studies from Westminster College, USA. Tenzin is an IB graduate herself, having completed the Diploma Programme at the United World College of the Adriatic, Italy.
Throughout her career, she has worked with learners from a wide range of linguistic, cultural, and educational backgrounds, taking on various teaching and leadership roles along the way.
She firmly believes education should be inclusive, engaging, and student-centered, and she works to create an educational setting where learners can develop their voice, agency, resilience, and sense of responsibility. Her pedagogical philosophy is rooted in mentoring and empowering young people to become thoughtful, compassionate, and responsible global citizens. An avid reader, Tenzin is especially passionate about building a strong culture of reading among young people. Beyond the classroom, her interests include hiking, trekking, and traveling, along with a genuine appreciation for dark-roast coffee, hearty laughter, and meaningful conversation.
