Sikha Gurung

Ms. Sikha Gurung, with a firm conviction in the power of teamwork and collaboration, is determined as an academic coordinator at Ullens School to communally ensure smooth, effective, and quality operation and the eventual progress of Junior High School (Tier IV) and Senior High School (Tier V) academic programs. Academically, she is a PhD research fellow (English Language Teaching – ELT) at Kathmandu University and a TESOL, USA-certified ELT professional too. The professional and academic exposures so far have endowed her with the culture of and passion for continuous learning. These endeavors have further opened avenues to hone her Storytelling, ELT, and Educational skills through prestigious scholarships/award such as: ‘Creativity Group Scholarship, 2018, IATEFL, UK; Meral Guceri Award, 2021, TESOL, USA and SUSI (Study of US Institutes) Scholarship, 2021, USA. Above all, she believes that the real essence of education lies in sharing knowledge with the community of practice to grow and transform together. Therefore, she is actively engaged in empowering the fellow teachers of Nepal in her field of expertise through various professional development platforms like workshops, training, webinars, and conferences. With the same motive, she is also involved in writing and editing (language and APA) books, research articles, training manuals, reflective
papers, lesson plans, blogs, case studies, and so on. Thus, she strongly aspires to make a difference in ELT, storytelling, and Education as a whole in Nepal.
