Ullens Alumni in the spotlight

Ullens Alum, Chiran Pandey, Class of 2015 who also happens to be an NYU, Abu Dhabi student has been awarded the prestigious Ertegun scholarship to the University of Oxford. He was among one per cent of applicants who will receive a full grant, worth Dh 180,000, under the Ertegun Scholarship. More than 1,500 hopefuls applied for the program but places were given to just 15 students from around the globe. Ullens Education Foundation welcomes new CEO

Established in 2006 with a grant from Baron Guy Ullens and Myriam Ullens of Belgium, the non-profit Ullens Education Foundation (UEF) has established itself as a leader in progressive education in Nepal, inspired by the pedagogy of Bank Street College of Education in New York. UEF runs Ullens Kindergarten in Jawalakhel and Ullens School in Khumaltar. Trip to Taudaha and Chobar

After a long wait, The school planned to take us to Chobar and Taudaha Lake to observe the cultural sites and how they are being conserved. So in the first hour we left school and headed for Taudaha Lake. After around 20 mins, we reached our destination. The lake had changed a lot since my last visit. All the trees around the lake were cut down and there were comparatively less fishes than my last visit. We bought some food for the fishes and fed them. On Friday, September 13th, the students of grade 10 went to visit Basantapur. It was primarily to observe Indra Jatra, which is the biggest religious street festival celebrated in Kathmandu. we left school at around 10 a.m. to go to the heart of Kathmandu, Basantapur. it holds a lot of cultural and historical significance for the people of Nepal.
